Our Mission
Le Foyer is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals and compassionate support to elder seniors with special needs in Côtes-de-Fer, Haiti. By delivering meals three times a week, we aim to enhance their quality of life, promote dignity, and foster a sense of belonging.
We are committed to addressing food insecurity and ensuring that no elder senior with special needs goes hungry, regardless of their circumstances.
In Honor of Jeanne Milord
Inspired by his grandmother, Jeanne Milord, who grew up in the small town of Côtes-de-Fer, Haiti, Le Foyer was founded over 30 years ago to honor her legacy.
Jeanne was a woman of extraordinary generosity. Even when she had little, she would always give more of herself to help those in need. Her charitable nature touched everyone around her, and she believed that no one should go hungry and that every person deserves dignity and care.
Fueled by a committed network of family and friends, Le Foyer continues her spirit of selfless giving by supporting elder seniors with special needs within her hometown.

What We Do
Beyond our work with seniors, Le Foyer also hosts a vibrant youth program during summer recess, investing in the next generation.
Nutritious meals delivered three times a week to elder seniors with special needs, with companionship and emotional support
Summer workshops where local children engage in science projects, movies, and learn practical trades
Teaching valuable trades including tailoring, culinary arts, floral design, and soccer to the next generation
For those unable to come in person, we deliver meals directly to their homes so no one is left behind
On Christmas, New Year's, and Mother's Day we provide gifts and traditional meals — including soup joumou on New Year's Day
We support children in the community with school fee payments, helping the next generation build a brighter future
